When your sinuses become irritated and inflamed, there may be swelling in your nasal passage. This swelling can put pressure on your sinuses, causing pain and discomfort. Finding relief from congestion or inflammation is the best way to get rid of sinus pressure.

What Is It?

Sinus pressure happens when the inside linings of your sinus cavities, which are in your face, get your irritated or inflamed.

Over-the-Counter Medications

The easiest way to relieve it at home is to try some over the counter things like Sudafed.

Topical Nasal Steroids

Or topical nasal steroids like Flonase and Nasonex, or use a saline rinse to help wash the irritants out.

Consult a Physician

If this goes on for greater than 10 days or having symptoms of fever or purulence, or just really getting sick, it's always worth checking in with your physician.
